~In the words of the Grammar Snob.....I tend to curse and make little things seem like BIG FREAKING THINGS and overreact and think the world revolves around me. BUT! I can be sweet and charming sometimes. You should focus on those times.~

Today I stayed home w/ sick kids, did some last minute shopping (lots of free stuff this week, man I need to work on my food storage! I have no idea where I'm going put things!), but not much in the way of cleaning the house which needs it BADLY. Allen and I finally broke down and bought some mice killer stuff. We really didn't want to because of the kids and dog, but the mice are out of hand. They are underneath my shower, so when I'm showering I hear a heard of mice running around under me and it's very unerving (oh and imagine sitting on the toilet and hearing them running around under the shower next to you! Talk about a show stopper!). They are behind our extra fridge, in the garage, and in the kitchen as well. If they are under my shower that means they are in my bedroom and my scraproom as well. I've seen them go behind the fireplace as well. I am TOTALLY freaked! Since we'll be out of town this weekend we will put the stuff out so there is no chance of the kids or dog getting into it. Allen also bought sticky traps which we will lay out as well. I'll tell you though, when we come home Allen will be going in the house FIRST and doing a thurough inspection before I set foot into the house. I don't want to see a mouse dead or alive!
Here is a list of things not to do when you are naked....
*answer the door
*work as a bee keeper
*ride a bike with no seat
*train attack dogs
*Shovel snow
*cook bacon
*Hold a mad cat
*Get pulled over by a (same sex) cop and try and flirt your way out of the ticket
*Go to prision
*saw wood

What can you add to the list??
OMGosh, sick kids! Well, its 4am and I'm up because I've got 2 coughing kids in my bed. They've had the sniffles for a couple days which I just chalked up to allergies or the change in weather. Now their coughs sound like they are dying! I gave them both the only cough medicine I have, which is a perscription for my 4YO. Their noses are green and yucky and they all just sound so gross! To top it off, I took my 4YO to the library and grocery shopping and when we got home my 2YO apparently had taken a nap and DH didn't think to wake him up! We got home at 9:00pm! I was just sure he'd be up till midnight! Surprisingly he went back to bed, but it was him who woke up crying and moved everyone into my bed!!!!!!!! The baby has been congested for a couple days, but doesn't have the cough. So I guess we're going to the dr instead of school today! We're getting to know our new dr REALLY well!

Today we went out to my grandparent's to celebrate my gpa's b-day. He's 85! Doesn't look or act like it though! Every year there is a BBQ to raise money for the Wittman fire dept at this time and so we always go to that. This year we just got the BBQ as take out and ate at the farm. I was thumbing through some old pics and found one of my g'pa when he was young and OMGosh if he weren't my gpa! What a hotty! (Sorry if I just turned anyone's stomachs w/ that thought but he was better looking than Brad Pitt!) It was a fun day! Allen left tonight for training in Illinois. He'll be gone through Wednesday. I Did a couple loads of laundry for a gal at my church who is wheelchair bound. She usually has someone come in and help her during the day, but her gal quit on her suddenly. So I'm helping her until she finds a new attendant! Didn't get much else done! I'm trying to get a list of people in my church who might be able to benefit from my shopping addiction! I now am the proud owner of 88 boxes of cereal (paid only $8). I'm sending a bunch to my sister too. I plan on going and getting more cereal as many times as I can until the sale ends Tuesday, since this deal is unlimited and doesn't cost me anything else besides my original $8 investment! It's just nice to be able to help others out! If you'd like some cereal come over! LOL

Today I did 1 load of laundry, 3 trips tp Basha's (got 24 boxes of cereal for less than $8!), trip to walmart to exchange diapers, drove...drove...drove.....visited w/ my mom during one of my Basha's trips! We don't get to talk much because usually the kids are w/ us and have our attention! Oh, and Basha's had their Halloween decorations on sale for 75% off, so I got these really cute ceramic pumpins for less than $2! I don't know why ANYONE shops for Halloween decorations BEFORE Halloween! What a deal! I am an absolute "deal junkie". When I sit and plan my shopping trips and get my coupons ready I get this absolute antisipatory rush at the thought of getting so much food for so little money! I know, it's a sickness!

Today I tried to recover from Halloween. It's hard when you have a billion loads of laundry to do and the city turns your water off! At least they were nice about the whole thing! I was at Basha's today while Cori was in school. I went to put Ethan in their Cub House and the lady in there said she was taking a break as soon as the kids in the room then were picked up and she couldn't take anymore kids! I was so mad! Then I talked to the manager, told him the reason I shop at Basha's was because of the Cub House. All while telling him what happened Ethan was running up and down yelling because he wanted to play! Normally I would NOT let him act this way, but I wanted the manager to see WHY I needed the Cub house! LOL He apologized and made her take him and told her to ask him for a break and he'd send someone over(DUH). So I put Ethan in, did my normal shopping (I took a little extra time by looking at the clearance Halloween stuff) and when I went to get Ethan the two kids she was waiting on to take her break were STILL in there! It suddenly turned my very mad mood into laughter! All the way home I just giggled! I just couldn't believe all the stink and I was the first one done! LOL
I am just so frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A couple days ago there was a mouse on my back porch taunting me. Well, Allen got the little sucker yesterday and I did a happy dance! Then today Cori saw the diseased's friend! I'm sure there are more! Allen is out of town all weekend. There is NO WAY I will set traps and catch them! ARG! Guess I need to plant some mint!

AND I have this "friend" who has made it impossible to answer my phone! I can't get her to SHUT UP! To top it all off she told me this week how wrong it is for me to be on WIC. Her statement was "I pay for my baby's formula and yours". EXCUSE ME? My husband works and we pay PLENTY of taxes. I pay for my formula! I'm one of the most politically conservative people I know and believe that welfare and gov't programs are horribly abused and badly designed. But I also believe that they are there for people trying to get on their feet! My husband just spent that last 4 years in school, so we've needed the help we get from WIC. And anyway, what business is it of hers????????? She also "assumes" I'm going to do things for her. She TOLD me I was helping her out at her daughter's party. I have a hard time w/ confrontation and "hurting people's feelings" so it's hard for me to tell her no. I'm now ready to tell her to SHOVE IT! The worst thing is she has a daughter that Cori likes to play with so if I stop being friends w/ this gal then Cori loses her friend. The little girl is obnoxious and drives me crazy, but is being raised w/ the same religious values. It's getting to the point that that isn't enough anymore! What's worse is we go to the same church and I've actually avoided church because of her!!!!!!!!!! I am just so sick and tired of her! I am not going to answer my phone anymore!
