How to use Your IRS Rebate check...

As you may have heard, each of us will be getting a tax rebate check to
stimulate the economy.

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China.

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs.

If we purchase a computer it will go to India.

If we purchase fruits and vegetables it will go to Mexico, Honduras,
and Guatemala.

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan.

If we purchase useless stuff it will go to Taiwan and none of it will
help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America. The only way to keep that money here at home is to spend it at yard sales, since those are the only businesses still in the US!

Dreams of Travelling

The likelihood of me going ANYWHERE in my life time is very very slim. However I do dream of visiting places. At the very top of my list is Prince Edward Island in Canada. And this probably seems very touristy but the next on the list would be New York City. Then there's this cute bed a breakfast up north in Snowflake, AZ I'd love to stay a weekend at. Pretty small list when you think about it. But I have now found a place to add to that list. And yes, I'm adding it to the list based soley on FOX Hotel . And there's no way I could actually CHOOSE a room to stay in! Although this one has appeal to me because it looks like a zebra. Photobucket
You know, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have my own bedroom decorated like one of these rooms! Hmmm....do I smell a new project??

Wordless Wednesday: How I'm feeling today!

TIRED

Find more Wordless Wednesday players!

Here's some irony for you!

It's interesting that it takes the IRS 9 to 14 days to direct deposit my federal tax return but only one day to take out the money I owe state! Things that make you go hmmmm.

A rant about taxes.

I think I'm having deja-vu because I remember saying this same thing last year...and possibly the year before.

It is AMAZING what we'll pay for convenience. I just got done doing my taxes. I used Turbo Tax which cost about 80bucks initially. When I e-filed my taxes it cost me 20bucks for Federal and 20bucks for State. THEN to have all those fees taken out of my Federal refund it cost me another 30bucks. So it cost about the same as it would to take my taxes somewhere and have them done for me. Plus all the stress would have been null and void. To top this whole thing off with the amount I have to pay state minus all my fees I'm only getting about 600bucks back. grrrrr

Well since I'm home sick with no kids today (major projectile vomitting yesterday) I thought I'd fill you guys in on my latest project. My kids went w/ their dad for spring break so I decided to paint, re-carpet, and switch their rooms. What a mess! I wish I had pics to show you guys (my camera was stolen). The rooms look and smell great now! I just painted the rooms white but decorated Ethan's w/ nascar flags. The girls got flower and horse decalls. Cori got a new bed and both Ethan and Cori got new mattresses and pillows. Georgia was moved up into a toddler bed! The carpet looks great. My next project will be to re-paint their dressers. Actually this next week's project is yard work. I need to kill and burn the weeds and mow/edge. But my house looks pretty amazing! The week the kids were gone I had my car PACKED w/ stuff for Goodwill. There was so much stuff in there I could barely fit in to drive it. The kid helping me unload asked if there was anything left in my house! Today I'm doing some laundry and cleaned up my kitchen. I'm in the mood to declutter SOMETHING. Gonna go vacuum the bedrooms and find something to fling! LOL Oh an a HUGE thank you goes out to my friend Maurice for laying my carpet!
