So I was talking to a friend who thought he gave off some kind of sexy vibe. Sexy is a state of mind, I related to him. This is something I've always thought. Even though I've been heavy the last several years I've never really let it get me down because of this thought. So I thought I'd google it. It came up w/ some fascinating items that I didn't just want to link to.
Webster defines sexy as "generally attractive or interesting". This definition just seems way too tame. When I feel sexy I don't feel "generally attractive". I feel ALIVE. I feel sparkly (no I FEEL sparkly, I didn't say I WAS sparkly). I think the world has such a perverted idea of sexy. You can't google the word sexy w/out coming up with almost 100% porn sites! What's sexy about a silicon women being banged from all ends?
So the first time I googled THE PHRASE 'sexy is a state of mind' I didn't put quotes around it and came up w/ the following article: "A New York state of mind: seventeen ways to look city-chic—no matter where you live". click here My only thought is that I better be damn sexy if the cotton shirt I'm wearing cost $580!!!!!! Holy crap!
This happens to be a very interesting blog click here about how to look and feel sexy. There are some great things in it. One thing that popped out at me in an article titled "A Sexier You" was this statement: "Brad Pitt didn't just wake up one day super sexy and super confident". And I'm thinking 'I think that man was BORN knowin he was sexy'.

Introducing......Manic Monday!
I heart the 80's! So in honor of that I'll be doing "Manic Monday" posts! Just random stuff that I love about the 80s. Actually, I might even post stuff I didn't like. I don't know but it will be about the 80s!

She is a certified rock'n'roll superstar. A four-time Grammy winner with six platinum and four gold albums as well as such hit singles as "I Need A Lover," "Heartbreaker," "Fire and Ice," "Treat Me Right," "Hit Me With Your Best Shot," "Hell Is For Children," "Shadows of the Night," and "Love Is A Battlefield."
She was born in Brooklyn, New York to a Polish/Irishfamily. She studied voice and opera, following in the footsteps of her mother while growing up in Lindenhurst, New York, on Long Island.
Graduated in 1971 out of Lindenhurst High School, and soon thereafter married her high school sweetheart, Dennis T. Benatar, acquiring the surname with which she became famous. Dennis also has a sister named Pat Benatar.
After capturing industry ears with her showcases at New York's Catch A Rising Star, Benatar signed to Chrysalis Records and released the million selling "In The Heat of

over the over pass
green palm trees seemed to cover the city entirely like the fans a rock star crowd surfs on............everything green and beautiful......finally cool.........sometimes I forget to look at the beauty that is around me............

I start the water before I get in. I like to get it warmed up.

Yes, I had cancer removed from my arm and several other biopsies that required stiches. I've had 2 C-sections although those were staples. Do they count?

My oldest daughter has hugged me several times today!

Sure, when I was 5.

Clear Pepsi and Ugly Kid Joe
1. Is your second toe longer than your first?
No it isn't and I'm glad. I think that's weird. No offense to those who have a longer 2nd toe, just don't expect me to tell you you have cute feet.

I like sharpie's, but who doesn't? They come in tons of different colors and are just so much fun!
3. Look at your planner for September 30, what are/were you doing?
Umm....I can't find my calendar. This is quite normal for me. I forget to go places I need to go and I'm always late. Considering the 30th is a Sunday there's a good chance I'll be going to church.

Lately they're black. I've been meaning to buy some white polish to paint zebra stripes on them but I just haven't gotten around to it.

Google Steers My Destiny
I am a total believer in the idea that each person steers their own destiny. I CHOOSE to be where I am and do what I do. I CHOOSE to be happy or sad, etc. So today I googled "steer my destiny" and out of "about 87,800" results the first one was a rather interesting blog. click here I don't know yet if it will make it into my "daily reading" file in my favorites list, but it'd definitely worth a read. I'm not entirely convinced that by studying astrology that you're actually steering your own destiny, but allowing outside influences steer you instead. There's arguments to be made on both sides. I'm 28!
| My Birthday was Tuesday. No one in my family remembered it except my grandparents who woke me up at 7am to sing to me over the phone. I went out w/ some friends last night to celebrate and they gave me a present. It was a basket of froo-froo stuff and I was so touched by their thoughtfulness! I'm still disapointed though. My mom had my kids make cards for their dad's b-day but not mine. Oh well, get over it! |
